We recently made a batch of these scrumptious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Wow! There's just something about the chew of the oats and the goo of the grated Hershey bar that makes this the best oatmeal cookie recipe ever!

NOTE: Makes approximately 50 cookies
1 cups butter
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cups sugar
2.5 cups Christine and Rob's oatmeal, blended in Cuisinart or blender for 20-30 seconds
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1, 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (optional)
** Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender (a handful at a time) to a desired texture.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
