Holiday Memories and Traditions 2013
Vince Hendricks - Saturday, December 07, 2013
'Tis the season to share some family memories. Here are a few from our family to yours. Enjoy!
I will never forget my father telling me how special it was
for him to be celebrating the warmth and joy of the holidays with our
family at the end of World War II in December 1945. He loved going to
the mountains and cutting down a Christmas tree, making strings of
popcorn for decorations and Grandma’s famous butter cream caramels.
|
In 1949 he and my mother started their own family tradition
with a photograph of me sitting on Santa’s lap in the picture window of
our local department store.
|
This annual Holiday tradition continued with our sons
Chris, Ben, Ian and Alex.
Along the way Christine and I joined
them in one of the photos sessions.
|
Today, as our sons and their lovely wives added their own
children to our growing family they too have participated in this
holiday tradition.
Josiah, Michael, Lexi, Kaila and Austen
|
We are sharing these special photographic memories with you in the
hopes they will bring back fond memories of your own holiday
traditions.
We hope this holiday season will bring you great joy and happiness
now and in the coming year. From our family to yours may this season be
filled with holiday cheer that will last throughout the coming year.
Season greetings from Rob, Christine, Christopher, Lindy, Josiah,
Michael, Ben, Jenna, Kaila, Alexis, Ian, Lindsay, Austen, Max and Alex
