A Bartell family favorite....especially topped with vanilla ice cream!
Ingredients & Directions
8 Apples (green pippins are best)
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Whole wheat flour
3/4 C Raisins
Water or apple juice
Topping:
1 1/3 C Christine & Rob’s Oatmeal
1/2 C Whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 C Sugar
1/2 C Margarine
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice apples until you have enough to fill a greased 9” x 13” baking dish. Mix the apples in a bowl with the lemon juice, cinnamon, flower and raisins. Return them to the baking dish, adding enough water or apple juice to cover the bottom. Mix topping in a bowl and press onto top of apples. Bake for 25 minutes or until apples are soft.
Serves 8.
